Just to add you get 30kg of luggage, which is great. Checked dates not many available for those prices but if anyone does look then March has a lot of special prices, May and June just the return flight is at the special price.

Also you might get the A380.

I know that MTTPattaya are a sponsor, but I think I would like to see a "[sPONSOR]" tag in their thread titles. It is starting to wear a bit thin seeing all these threads being started by a travel agent. We are working hard to find the best deals and, quite frankly, this is not the best deal. We have booked 2 adults and 1 infant BKK-LHR-BKK Jun 27th - Jul 27th with Aeroflot, 18 hours including layover each way for B63,800. Being that the infant was B3,500 it leaves our other fares at B30,150 per adult and that is during the summer holidays. I haven't posted this information because it was only marginally below the average I was seeing for indirect.

B33,500 is pretty much bang on the average, NOT "Fabulous".

These constant threads are making this section of ThaiVisa Forum lose a lot of its attraction.

i hope you read my post about my trip on Aeroflot on here, also just to add my friend flew about 1 month later and had a 6 hour delay in Moscow but this was proceeded by a 2 hour delay in Paris.

Thanks for that. To be honest I have learn over my years of flying (at some points in my career that was FAR more than I wanted) that all flights are a bit of a gamble. For the price, route and dates we'll take it. The next nearest was Egypt Air for B90,000 then it was the Middle Eastern airlines for B98,000+.

I have heard mixed reviews from Aeroflot, but I'm realistic. We'll get there.

The Malaysian fare was the best I saw but in the end I chose Etihad because 1) they didn't restrict their 39.8k fare to one month, 2) their travel times were shorter, 3) they gave me as a silver card holder a 40kg allowance and one free date change, and 4) I was able to choose an exit seat online for two of the four sectors. Not cheap, but I was booking just ten days before departure date.

33500 is hardly special, seems quite average

It's a good fare for one of the better airlines, though I wasn't particularly impressed with the comfort of the A380 in economy.

Bugger, i cannot believe this, i inquired last wek and was told Bht 38000 ret. so really wanting a straight BKK-LON i booked Qatar for Bht 41000 ! But this is for end of august/sept and i think the Malaysian schedules have been changed.

I've only flown Aeroflot once on a return to Moscow. Service was very good indeed, and there weren't any delays. It was as good as any other airline I've flown on. And much better than the experiences I've had with British Airways.

Often an otherwize decent airline is still not worth using if the stop-over/connecting airports make for a hellish experience. It's for this reason that I rule out for instance indian, russian, egyptian airlines when shopping for tickets.

If you are flying a family and you don't have bottomless pockets (yes, I know, we should be gassed for wasting oxygen!) then a 4 hour layover is not too bad to get you a 30% discount on the fare. That saving will get us a hire car for our month in England, our fuel for our stay, a taxi to/from Suvarannabhumi and something to eat during our layovers.
