Jingthing
Why would nationality of the letter make any difference on their policies regarding how fresh the letter needs to be?

gk10002000
Why would nationality of the letter make any difference on their policies regarding how fresh the letter needs to be? I submit that the Thais may view some information coming from some National Embassies as a bit more dodgy than some others?
OMGImInPattaya
I thought it was 30 days...is it within six months of application/renewal now?
BlackPuddingBertha
I submit that the Thais may view some information coming from some National Embassies as a bit more dodgy than some others? If they were really concerned about that then presumably they just wouldn't accept income letters at all.
Jingthing
The question of accepting the money amount as valid is separate from the rules about how FRESH the letter needs to be. Immigration has the right to ask for confirming information about the income stated in the letter of anyone of any nationality. Again, I see no logical reason why immigration would have different FRESHNESS of letter policies for different nationalities. I don't happen to know their current enforcement policy regarding freshness of the letters, but the OP seems to think it is six months.
Yknot
In February they accepted my 4 month old US letter, but told me that next year, the limit would be 90 days
LeCharivari
90 days is the normal maximum according to the Extension desk. I am told that they also accept P of P letters from other embassies/consulates (other than the applicant's own) but I cannot confirm this.
