I am still a bit puzzled after receiving a massage this afternoon, so figured I would solicit opinions from you folks. At the very least I am sure I will get some interesting replies.

Background: I have received many massages in Thailand (perhaps around 60+). Sometimes they are good, often times they are not (in my opinion at least), but it is hard to complain too much since they are so inexpensive. I have also received many massages from extremely good massage therapists in States, so my standards are kind of high.

Today I got an oil massage here in Prahuap Khiri Khan. The massage lady was fairly young and quite attractive. She took me upstairs to a private room that looked just like a hotel room. She left while I undressed and when he came back I was naked with a small towel covering my privates. She started the massage by rubbing around my groin area (which I thought was an odd place to start). For the next twenty minutes she basically massaged all around my genitals, ocasionally doing legs, feet, etc, but always coming back to the groin. She never actually massaged my "johnson", but she got darn close. About fifteen minutes into the massage, my privacy towel got tossed aside which I found to be very curious and non-standard, but I'm not very shy so I didn't worry about it.

Hoever, I kept wondering where this was going. She wasn't making obvious sexual advances, but it felt like her style of massage was suggesting something along those lines. I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid I might offend her, but I was prepared to speak up if she went too far.

Next, she got me on my stomach and spent most the time rubbing my butt, along with some back and leg action. Then she asked me to turn over again. I did, and felt a little uncomfortable being fully naked with her standing there looking at my "junk", so I searched out the towel and covered my crotch area with it. She continued the massage, but didn't do any more groin rubbing. She finished, asked for 300 baht, and I was on my way. I am pretty sure the massage only lasted about 50 minutes.

As far as massages go, this one was not very good. She mostly just rubbed my groin and butt (not really in a pleasurable way) and when she massaged other areas it was really light and kind of random.

So what do you think? Was she just a really bad massage therapist? A prostitute posing as a massage girl? A "happy ending" specialist? I am a bit confused and rather curious. The whole massage session "felt" strange and not quite right. Was she perhaps looking for a cue from me? Did me covering myself with the towel indicate that I wasn't interested in something more? Am I reading into this too much?

I went for a foot massage today in a shop just round from Terminal 21 - 250b plus 50b tip - the OP's massage sounds like a lot more fun for the same money.

If you've had 60+ massages in Thailand, I highly doubt this experience was your strangest massage ever.

It's called a rub and tug.
