I thought I remembered a Saab special edition named after a rally driver but when I checked it came up with this - http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/07/saab-marks-50th-anniversary-of-erik-carlssons-first-rac-win-wit/

The 9-3 in the picture looks very anaemic compared to the older ones I drove.

My memory was off something much older but must have been mistaken......

Yes -The link shows that but I thought there was a previous car 10 or more years ago but I could not find the reference.

I'm sure there was a 900 or 9000 turbo carlsson edition.

Edit yes 600 were made of the 900 turbo carlsson and 9000 of the 9000 turbo carlsson were made.

Was there a gerry marshall vauxhall ?

There must be some other rally drivers with cars named after them, Audi ?

Copy cat, I already mentioned Roger but unlike you I gave him proper respect for being a International racing icon.. He wasn't a high level driver though, nor were any street cars named after him, his exploits are as an engineer and businessman..

Ogle Mini by David Ogle the Man who designed the Reliant Scimitar.Borderline that one. I suppose if you compete in Local Club events one could be called a Racer.coffee1.gif

We've drifted off the OP as I think it was intended to mean street rides.. I would have mentioned a host of those already mentioned otherwise..

Alfa Niki Lauda edition: Kamm tail, not boat tail as previously shown....
