2020 Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Hope your next holiday isn't anywhere in SEA as I just got back from Vietnam and it's smoky just like over here My allergic reaction to this smoke is dying down! I've never had it so bad in my life but all in all, I still love it here. Next year it will be family holidays away from the heavy smoke, and I always remind myself that a bad day here is better than a good day back where I came from....wherever that was. Happy days.... No pressure, I am just doing this for fun as I prepare for my trip back home. hope the snow is gone there.... Popular Post eek Posted March 28, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) Got up, went to the gym, got cleaned up, had an early quick coffee out, went home, got to work on some things, then later went out and had dinner, returned home, finished up some things, then kicked back with a movie and a drink. ...almost much the same as my life before Thailand. EXCEPT.. i can afford to treat myself out, such as the quiet coffee on my own... EVERY day if i like.. and i can do it without it costing the earth..or seeing too many bad attitudes and grumpy faces, or guys thinking that just because you give them a smile its a green light for being pestered...or weather so chilly or unpredictable that it makes me want to crawl back into bed... or countless junk mail and post stating i owe exorbitant amounts for this tax or that tax or this bill or that bill .... or random phonecalls on my telephone line asking me if id like cheaper gas bills even if i dont have gas........or working out if i can actually afford a night out because i know it would require a remortgage in order to have a decent one.... et cetera et ad finitem! puukao Posted March 28, 2013 Author Share Posted March 28, 2013 Already done biking to the palace and back....36 minutes to doi suthep, which is fine from the zoo....and then to the palace another 20 minutes. 90% odds this will be the best part of my day.... but coming back down......wow, there is a lot of oil on the road.....and i'm too old to look for any descending records with those kids of conditions.
