If you require a country where even more foreigners are being murdered than in LOS, look no further than the Philippines....

Sad often wanted to visit there to party but put off by the violence. Much more than Thailand. When I went there on business the hotels always warned me not to walk outside the hotel alone in Manila. There will be more to this story than just a random hit I suspect

I believe they are interviewing some staff with the thoughts it may have been an employee that was recently sacked.

most probably it was an employee / former employee or a competitor.

while crime is ripe in Thailand too, particularly at any tourist spots, the crime is much more random in the PH.

to be fair, what has happened there in Olongapo, happens in Thailand as well. And it does happen to locals.

I am sure you heard about the story of the Thai lady who was the head of HR for Hilton Phuket and was murdered recently, most likely by a dishonest ex-executive of the Hotel who she had fired....

Looks like a civil war, or a city under siege, with all the armed security guards all over Manila.

Even the shopping malls.
