To buy a ticket to BKK by bus, should I necessarily go to Arcade bus station? Is there any way or any official place to buy it?

Travel agent, or perhaps try the 7-Eleven counter service booking - explains it here . I'd personally go to the bus station, 40 baht there & back, and make sure.
