As much as I admire Lucas for winning over his doubters in recent years I don't think he's good enough to fit in with Rogers' system. I wouldn't have minded if he stayed on tbh as we will be playing more games next season. If he Reina and Johnson goes that's probably 250k p/w off the wage bill alone. I would rather we fill that spot with someone young and hungry with ability/potential.

Is Reina only on loan?

Yep and hope he makes it a permanent deal there. He must surely realise there is no chance of Barca wanting him now. Edited by wellred

alfie, piss off out of this thread with your <deleted> unfunny tedium for the duration of the close season will you? there's a good lad.

Touchy lot when flipfloppers get mentioned ain't ya and to be fair I would never have mentioned it again, but your pal wilai trys to have a pop by posting one of my old posts from Aug and when I respond you get all defensive.

Moral of the story : if you don't want me to post about flipfloppers on here, don't mention my name.

you still don't seem to know what 'flipfloppers' means though.

i've no objection to you posting in the liverpool thread so long as you're at least some semblance of engaging, interesting or, hey, maybe even try funny. but this repetitive, tedious trolling is just a pain in the hoop and adds absolutely nothing.

cant see Southampton taking anywhere near 20 mil, isnt he their captain? and arguably their best player can you? they dont need the wedge and they've backed that by apparently /supposedly turned down 28 Ish for shaw, i know he's 18 ect ect, but Lana's price I would have thought would have to be nearer 30 2 even tempt them , reckon u'll go to it? Tbh i know he's had a great season at Southampton, but so far that's it.

Brendan Rodgers is LMA Manager of the year. Voted #1 by his fellow peers. Well deservedclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif

Strange. Considering Pulis was Premier League Manager of the year and the Scousers did nothing in Europe or the domestic cups..... why did Rogers get a gong?

And Pellegrini won a double at his first attempt.

So probably because voting closed before the season did?

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was crowned LMA Manager of the Year on Monday night, while Crystal Palace's Tony Pulis won the Premier League managerial award.

And Nigel Clough got FA Cup manager of the year. Eh?!

Maybe I'm wrong, and they do the voting on the night when they're all off their trollies.

"To be fair you havn't stopped talking about the above for the last 4 years so I suppose you were going to get it right eventually !"

was a direct response to me in answer to my post directed solely to you. "You LOT" would have made a little more sense were you directing your response to all. Keep on giving ladbiggrin.png .....or stick to the Spuds thread cos you ain't needed on herethumbsup.gif

If I ain't needed on here then don't post one of my old post's, simple really !

LMA Manager.

My understanding is 97 managers from the Prem and Football League voted democratically in favour of Brendan Rodgers.

Judged by his peers. It does NOT get any better than that cos THEY know what BR has done.

It's their job.

it must be that i guess. seventh to second leapfrogging united, arsenal and chelsea in the process is a hell of an achievement, but so is pellegrini's in his first season. pulis has had a great year, gus poyet pulled off a miracle. i'd have been fine with any of them getting it.

Alice and Carmel spend most of their time in other threads, but given its 53 years since Spuds won the league, it's likely to continue.

Good season for Liverpool, and Brenda deserved the award IMO. Important that they hold onto Suarez for next season though.

he was awarded the much more prestigious golden samba at the weekend as well.

Yes. Well deserved.

Best not to let his wife know though. biggrin.png

( Only joking. Seems to be able to play this game of football remarkably well. thumbsup.gif )

@UberFootFact: Martin Skrtel is the only player to score vs all top 4 teams in PL this season:

1 v Man City
1 v Chelsea
2 v Arsenal
4 v Liverpool

No worries Nev....his replacement is already in trainingthumbsup.gif

And mark my words, watch their points total drop next season when they have the same game and travelling schedule as the others in Europe.

Meanwhile Chelski and Citeh will both go and spend 100m and stick two fingers up to Platini.

Very true.

And for next season, not only do i see Liverpool struggling hard and failing to repeat this season's performance, i see Everton also sliding down the table. It's what happens to teams who punch above their weight and are asked to be good chaps and just carry on punching like that. Never works.

Who do you reckon will replace Everton and Liverpool?

Good question. Liverpool might not necessarily be replaced. I just don't think they'll have the title in their hands with a few games to play, come the end of next season. 10 to 15 points off the top would be my guess. As for Everton and who replaces them, take your pick really. Think they'll end up somewhere in the lower top half of the table.
tit.
