Hi,

I'm just wondering if I create a company with my wife and I appoint myself as a director of the company if there are specific degree requirements to get the work permit. I do not have my bachelor completed, still missing a few courses, so I hope it would not cause any problem. I do have a college diploma and I could easily convert what I have done so far in my bachelor into 2 certificates.

Thanks

I'm working here and haven't finished my degree yet. Depends what industry and what experience you have which is what counts. I would think for you if you want to become a director of a company, it would be easier than just being an employee like myself. Could be wrong though?

In your situation a university degree is not required if the job specifications do not specify it.

To get a WP you must prove that you are more qualified for the job than a Thai. In some situations this may require a diploma or degree but it depends on the job and on what sort of business you will be opening.

What do you consider a regular worker? There are many professions/jobs that are restricted to Thai's only meaning you cannot get a work permit for that job.
