Recommended Posts

re

They are very strange people...well they are from an island....

But I like them as wel

dave2 a brit .. some thai postmen and the queue nail : )

i went into prah singh post office a few years ago ( the one in the pic )and there was someone being served at counter 1 .. nobody at counter 2 and a man sealing parcels on the far right counter 3

so i sat down between 1 and 2 and waited

the customer at counter 1 left and the man looked at me and pointed down the counter so i said thank you and went to counter three

when i got there he said no letters go to counter 1

so i went to counter one and he pointed down the counter and said queue ticket

i walked down ten feet saw the queue ticket nail then back to the man

gave it to him and he put it on his ticket nail and said what do you want ?

all of this even though i was the only customer there ...

hilarious ...

and i felt such a dumbo coz i didnt see it : )

enjoy .. dave2

Don't worry, soon the place will be overrun by Chinese and they have NO concept of how a queuing system works and see it as a demonstration of their superiority to push ahead of everyone else for service.

And Russians.

BTW some of them are have a few $/£

quote

27 minutes had passed before I returned to my Wife (English too) empty handed and asked her to try,

Another 20 minutes had passed and still no food service.

end of quote

OP waited 27 and 20 minutes to be served in a McD?

Would have walked out, ticketing or not, after 8-10 minutes.

Whopper or Big Macs, why do people continue to eat this crap in Thailand?

You'd need to ask the Thais.

Personally, I once ate a McDonalds meal for a change because I wanted something quick and unchallenging.

I like Burger King because their burgers taste of meat.

I expect this is all part of his development of an alibi. An explanation for 27 minutes away from his wife.

Or perhaps, he's laying down some reference material for a friend, who is having trouble with his "I was in McDonalds for half an hour" excuse, after coming back sans Happy Meals...

1. You can't remember the name of the mall?

2. McDonalds don't do Whopper meals - that's Burger King!

He orders the Whopper, the staff smiles friendly and gave him some burger that was ready. After standing around for 1 hour at the counter they just had to do something.

Which begs the question, why couldn´t they just tell him to grab a ticket?

And he stopped the time.

It wasn't approx. 30 min. No it was 27 so he checked the time from the beginning.

Don't get me wrong, I like a hamburger (BKing is my fav), but no matter what culture we talk about, if you spend 3/4 of an hour waiting to order some fastfood/junkfood, then one has a serious issue.

In any city with some size, it would had taken maximum 30 minutes from one walked out of that McD to one found another McD, ordered, and got the food.

Within 45 minutes, one could even had finished eating it as well.
