Since you started the topic, I would also like to thank the site, Mario, Lopburi, Wayned and all the others too many to mention for making my life easier before I arrived in Thailand and for the 3.5 years that I have been here now. You all deserve a lot of credit. Keep up the good work. The public (foreigners) in Thailand depend on you.

Plenty of banter and messing around here but there really is no better resource when you are looking for Thailand related information. The main stay for me when I was building a house in Thailand.

I imagine the guys here have helped more people than even they realise themselves. How many must glean what they're seeking from the wealth of information contained in these pages without even signing up?

Probably fair to say most of us originally came to the site because we had a question - a sensible and useful answer to which could easily be found within these pages.

These guys are tireless I add my thanks to those above. I still find it amazing that genuine questions and calls for assistance are usually replied to within minutes.

Hear hear from me as well. Without the likes of lopburi3, Lite Beer, Maestro and Mario2000 around, I suspect that very few of us would be able to find our way out of the Thai immigration maze!

The site is a HUGE help now and for the past 8 years I would say. No one would know however how unhelpful it was here in the very early days and into early 2004. It was really bad I tell you but before 2004 ended there was an about face and helpfulness was plentiful. In those super early days if you asked what kind of visa for someone not married, working nor 50 years old you were told by the elitist posters that you MUST mold into a category, aka get a proper visa or stay away from Thailand. I remember it quite vividly myself as I searched and searched for help in late 2003 early 2004. Of course all those threads and posts are in the waste bin of history but I shall never forget. As I said however those days are long gone. I'd say the change came after the 10,000 member mark in 2004

I must chime in to say my thanks also. This site has helped me navigate the chaotic world that is Thailand immigration. There is plenty of white noise but there is also some great advice and feedback - many thanks.

I wouldn't want to limit the praise to Visa forum - which is an incredible resource that I haven't happened to need yet: and among other things of value here on TVF - especially if we are going to specify experts - I want to once again say how incredibly fortunate we all are to have Sheryl here to answer things medical and in particular those relating to health care or health issues in Thailand.
