Expecting to stay in bkk for 3 days for meetings and looking for a hotel in the 1000-1500THB/night range.

anything centrally located with an in-house gym, or a gym nearby?

TIA

There are deals at the Amari on Soi 5....I think they have a gym.....not sure if cheaper than 1500 though.

Ambassador on Soi 11 you can pay to use the gym and/or pool.

Not sure the price....sorry.

Creeping up in price a bit ... all with gyms in below

FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit ...

Sukhumvit soi 1 4 * Hotel ...1,764 Baht a night

Bally Studio Suite Sukhumvit

Round the Sukhumvit Soi 20 Area ... 1.,370 Baht a night

le fenix

Soi 11 Sukhumvit ... 1,799 Baht a night

Have to remember though ... these are 'Hotel' Gyms

I've stayed in all of them and the FuramaXclusive is probably the nicest.

Bally's has a pool and Gym, but it's a bit older and a fair walk down the Soi if the Tuk-Tuk's not running.

Le Fenix is in the heart of the action in Soi 11. Just a tip, don't take the top floor of accommodation as they have an upstairs bar and it can get a but loud through the concrete slab and don't get the floor of the gym as it also has an indoor swimming pool and some find the aroma of chlorine, not the best ... fine hotel still and I like staying there.

Come back and let us know what you have booked as it's always good to get new information about the places on offer.

Try Dynasty Grande on Soi 6/Sucky, access off Nana soi 4, a good gym and decent rooms, last time I stayed it was around 1,500.

Op yes I stay at the grand on soi 3 for around 1200 Baht then use fitness 1st gym in Fremont

So, it's the Grand Inn you stay at?

Is the gym use complementary (part of the room price) or do you have to pay for it?

I too am looking for gym (will be in BKK for about 1 month)

Here are results of some hotel visits I did yesterday (May 5)

Marriott (Suk)

Of course, pretty nice, long hours : 5200 THB/month; 1800 THB/week; 650 THB/visit

Dynasty Grand Hotel (between Soi 4/Soi 6) - told me for guests only

Pathumwan Princess Hotel: Olympic (MBK Center, Siam Center): 4500 THB/month; 642 THB/visit

I also visited a few fitness clubs, with variable membership

Crush Fitness (Silom)

Chuck Hatch (Silom)

California Wow (Esplanade - just closed?!)

Fitness First (Rama 9, Terminal 21 + many others) - online free 3-day pass; 14-day "jump start"; otherwise mostly 5+ month memberships

I use Concept2 rowing machine, which cuts down the choices.
