When German cars are so cheap in US I wonder why people still buy their <deleted> local cars...

One reason would be, not many buy cars. Most of the big selling US brand vehicles are pick ups or SUVs.

The top selling cars are usually Japnese - Toyota Camry, Corrolla, Honda Accord, Civic etc.

The best selling Ford or Chev sedans are way down the list, but then so are the German Corrollas ( 3 series and C class).
