Thai Health Insurance

Featured Replies

Ok been discussing with the wife as we now have the responsibility to look after the mother when we have the last lot of land transferred over at the end of the month.

Health insurance.

We are to look after the mother so we need insurance - who is the best company

The sister in law is to look after the father, however as she regularly borrows money of us (pays back also) I feel that we would be best to unsure him but the problem is he has diabetes so in Thailand my wife thinks he will not be covered.

Dow anybody know of any companies ? Further more European companies that will cover him ?

Ultimately I want to pay up front for the year or up to 10 years if possible...

Also life insurance? - any recommendations?

Bump?

If they are Thai, they can get coverage under the governments '30 baht' health system.

No monthly or annual payments.

Why you think a European company would cover his diabetic when a Thai company doesn't ?

Jbrain - uncle had diabetic problem and it cost more but he had insurance - that was five years ago.

Thailand does not I am told .

In regards to the 30 baht one floors that cover all problems or are we better paying more ? And getting a private one? We thought it would cost is about 1.5k baht a month for the month and perhaps 50 -80k a year for the old boy .

We are prepared to pay this so if you know any decent private providers please do let us know as the last thing we want is a large bill down the line if something happens when we could just have insured in the first place.

Both parents are in their mid 50s healthy ect
