Viewing Online Tv Programs With Lots Of Breaks

Featured Replies

I occasionally watch online TV programs from Australia (legally)... However, viewing is a lot of stops and starts... sometime a break of a minute, other times much longer. What is the solution? Upgrade my ISP package? What??

The stop/start is buffering of audio/video streams.

Solution? Download and watch later. Some streams can't be saved, some can. Live streams/ streams on demand, maybe none... ISP's only quote speeds within Thailand. Speeds outside of Thailand tend to be too slow unless it's being cached.

What is your current isp pkg.?

TRUE Ultra Hi-Speed 16M/1.5M

Thanks! I wanted to avoid saying something like march yourself down to the True office and sign yourself up with their UltraHS 16M/1.5.
pkg...It's the best!!!

Instead, I can tell you that I've been using 3bb premier 3/1 (no longer exists - now 5/1...and it costs). I've been using it for video conferencing, slingbox from the west coast, lot's of voip, teamviewer...the hola.org and it never skips a beat going on 5+ years. Youtube and netflix never skip.

Now
for the small print. I'm pretty sure I'm in an area that is heavily True saturated.

///I've always wondered if any of the isps would allow for a trial run...even handing over a few thousand for a month or two would be worth the expense...I’m sure a crafty person could make that happen.

Very best of luck to you.

I hear there's talk of adding "decent" internet somewhere on Maslow's list.
