Does A Green Book, By Itself, Have Resale Value?

I have a 36 year old motorbike.

It still goes like a train however most of the peripherals have rusted off. I intend to keep riding it until it implodes like the car in Blues Brothers at the end of the big chase scene.

Anyway, the bike has a genuine, and up to date taxed and insured, green book.

My question is does the book have any resale value in itself.

That is, would someone buy the old bike for a certain price just to get their hands on the green book?

They will possibly also want the part of the frame with the number stamped into it,they can transfer it to another bike which has no book.It would have to be the same make and engine size bike i do believe,th engine itself can be replaced and marked as such in the book.

They can probably forge other things but the frame number is one of a kind and even if you would stamp the same numbers into a frame it will not be the same. They copy the number using a piece of tape and a pencil and compare it to what is in the book.
