March 25, 200620 yr I have a 3g 20GB iPod that needs a new disk and maybe even a new battery It failed 1 week after the warranty ended I also have a 4g 20GB iPod that looks like it needs a new battery This one went 4 months after the 1 year warranty but was used almost daily. With my moves about the place and another relocation to either Singapore or UK coming up in 3 months a fix during a holiday to Thailand would be best for me.

March 28, 200620 yr Last time I was at Apple service center (link in above post) they quoted about 2,500 Baht for the battery replacement, for my 60GB iPod Photo.
March 28, 200620 yr Author I have watched the video for replacing both the 3G and the 4G with the $g being much easier. I just do not trust myself to do it though as I am crap with stuff like that - I am a software not a hardware guy even though I was responsible for both on and 3000+ PC site ;-) 2500THb seems about the same as in the UK - I could go with that.
