group of creatures living in the banana trees right next to the kitchen window.

That's about all I can get also. Perhaps the OP hears the Tokay's start up rattle sounds as a separate creature.

It's a very dangerous and poisonous W. African musical note. Be very careful. The best way to deal with it is to wear earplugs.

Had creatures like this in a hotel I was consulting for in Africa. They had a large pond. They were loudest outside the main suite - the chairman's favourite room - and used to drive him potty.

One day he was in a particularly bad mood and called in some 'experts' to eliminate them. They came back with some kind of chemical and pronounced the problem solved.

Next day all the fish were dead and the frogs were louder than ever.
