Can a woman walk into a hospital here and have a safe abortion procedure performed ?

The short answer is no, not on demand, but safe abortion is possible if 2 doctors agree it is necessary. for the woman's mental or physical health. Not all doctors and hospitals are prepared to do this, though, so it is definitely not a "walk into any hospital" situation.
