Payment Term Of Electricity Bill

Featured Replies

Hello

Normally, I get the bill on 1st day of month. When is the deadline for payment?

I will leave Thailand on June 1 and be back on 12... If I pay after 12th, will the power in house already be cut off sad.png

Thanks ka

What about paying via your bank? Quite easy to setup and do online.

I think it's about 7 days, leaving it till you come back you could well find yourself without a meter.

always pay cash in 7/11..... Ok, will try to set up an auto payment via bank account. What docs are needed?

The deadline is stated at the bottom of the bill. It's in Thai but the dates are in Arabic numeral script. You will see a date range of about a week...the latter date is the deadline date (I think it's in red color).

This is the deadline to pay at 7-11. The bill can still be paid at the electricity company office for another week or so till they cut the power.

You don't need to setup auto payment. Just pay the bills as they come with your bank's online payment system.

I've heard from many who have had great success with auto payment, and many who have had major problems. If you do it, create a new account with just a small amount of money in it to cover the bills. That way, if you move and they continue to bill you, you're not at great financial risk.

Write down the number of the meter.

Go to the EGAT centre and explain the situation.

You will be able to pay a certain amount as an advance for May which will be settled with the bill for June.
