Lao National Too Thailand

Featured Replies

trying to find out if anyone has info on Lao nationals wanting Thai visa.

my fiance is applying for a Thai visa but having difficulties getting one without some under the table buiseness (tea money, petrol dosh, beer tokens....BRIBES!)

this is just to get a 2 month tourist visa.(she is quoting silly money!)

Iam here on a tourist visa aswell.

anyone know officialy how much one should cost etc?

can they also do similar visa runs? (mai sai etc)

From your question about visa runs it would appear she has no intention to return to Laos at the end of her visa so expect she will have serious problems getting a visa.

Laos is not offered visa free entry so no, she can not make border crossing visa runs.

My Lao girlfriend frequently visits Thailand. She first must obtain a Lao exit visa, after which she applies for a Thai 60-day tourist visa. Before the expiration of the 60 days (or a 30 day extension thereof), she returns to Laos. When she wants to return to Thailand, she must go through the same process again, which sometimes takes three or four days. We've never had any problems nor have we had to pay any extra money. Is your girlfriend being candid with you about what she needs money for?
