Do you buy potassium chloride downstairs in the supermarket? Does it have a brand name? Thanks!
Dancealot
Naam Plah indeed ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_sauce Edit: Added link Fish sauce is an amber-colored liquid extracted from the fermentation of fish with sea salt from the first paragraph. However I think in some fish sauces salt is not added.
infinity11
I bought at central 1/2 sodium chloride and 1/2 potassium chloride. How's that? Thais use fish sauce, very salty. Do you buy potassium chloride downstairs in the supermarket? Does it have a brand name? Thanks! It is already pre-mixed. It's in a green an white square jar brand name good life les so 250gm, none of that matters as brands come and go. Yes ground floor at central supermarket. FWIW rumor has it fluoride is now added to (some) salt? I have no idea.
SICHONSTEVE
I bought at central 1/2 sodium chloride and 1/2 potassium chloride. How's that? Thais use fish sauce, very salty. Do you buy potassium chloride downstairs in the supermarket? Does it have a brand name? Thanks! It does have a name - it's called potassium chloride!!! This is the potassium analogue of common salt sodium chloride. If you want to buy healthy salt then look no further than Himalayan sea salt (or Maldon sea salt from my home county of Essex). Practically all other salts are refined and are very bad for you. Yes, potassium is far far better for you than sodium and all refining does is take out all of the beneficial minerals and put harmful chemicals in to make it appear nice and white and flow better!! Treat yourself, and buy some off the internet (it tastes superior as well).
