Hi all,

In a few weeks my 13 year old daughter and I will be spending a couple of weeks in CM. I am so excited to share this city with her! I just read yesterday that there is an "outbreak" of dengue there. I know in the US, I kind of only try to believe half the hype that media puts out and I have to admit that as a mother, I feel a little weary travelling up north (although I know it's everywhere). I guess I just wanted to hear y'all's perspective since a lot of you live there or spend lots of time there. Maybe it will help me ease my worries a bit. Thank you! Also, does anyone on here use only natural bug repellent without DEET and have any success keeping the buggers at bay? Thank you so much and on a more awesome note, any suggestions of super fabulous things we can do to enjoy our mom./daughter trip there? Thank you again!
