I can live without the kebabs, but I hope they don't bust those Turkish bath & massage places. :o

Wow... the BIB is right on the job.. got to be a proud moment in their life long fight to prevent crime..

there is no life long fight to prevent crime.

it is a life long fight to prevent people not paying bribes.

Don't worry OP, i'm sure there'll be a thai move into such a business right around tomorrow.

Though of course with ketchup and rat meat. :D

There was a falang outside Big C HomePro Hang Dong selling what looked like the same stuff.

Was a few months back & he wore a mouth mask

Nice guy said hi etc. But I remember thinking I wonder how he is doing that stand.

I mean honestly, what did he think was going to happen?? A nice foreigner doing what he enjoyed and making a bit of money in front of Thais! How dare he!

At least they didn't discover a stack of dog skulls buried nearby as opposed to Real Thai Meatball factories.

I know someone who hates kebab etc. mostly meaning the people behind it. Racist yes. Must be the one that betrayed him.

But then again he hates everything in Thailand besides himself. Get a life.

Unfortunate, But he was blatantly breaking the law.

He should of just hired a Thai to staff the cart.

Pity they don't arrest some of the Thais selling disgusting kebabs around Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza.

There was a French guy running a noodle stand with his Thai wife in Yaowarat, Bangkok, who let himself get photographed and written up in the Bkk Post. Wonder if he's still there.

You complain if they enforce the law, you complain if they don't enforce the law. Oh, I get it. You just like to complain. Job well done.

Because they enforce the wrong ones of course bah.gif

I tried his kebabs a few months ago

The chicken was crazy dry.

Okay I could have drowned in mayo and ketchup but I think maybe that is not his calling in life.

How unfortunate. I saw him around a lot and we've chatted on a few occasions.

A Thai got jealous he was making money selling good food instead of the sub par garbage he is selling.. no surprise at all :(

^^Should've added some sugar to those kebabs to ward of evil spirits. :(

He was there again last night, so he obviously paid the right people. Don't worry he's back in business!

^ Great stuff.

Let's hope the second method used the by jealous Somchai isn't some whiskey and a few K baht to someone with a homemade machete.

Business in Thailand can be dangerous, especially out in the open among competing Thais.

Yes, I saw him as well. He's back as if nothing happened.

As stated above, hopefully a Thai wasn't planning on moving in on his turf or I fear his next "problem" will be a bad one.

Yup, a wronged Thai doesn't like his smart-ass move backfiring, especially against a farang doing something illegal in his country. Is it really worth it to sell a few dozen 50b kebabs everynight?

Good on the lad, but i'd be bowing out graciously, or at the very least putting a Thai in charge of sales.

Any chance that the arrest was a mistake and the reason the kebab guy is back on the streets hawking his wares is that somehow his paperwork is actually in order?

Yes, street food vendor isnt actually on the list, amazing.

Street vending is on that list.

would be kind of funny if we did a falang flash mob deal & all lined

up to buy Kebab's at a certain agreed time

Would kind of drive his detractor insane I think whistling.gif
