erm "regular" legit massages...

Featured Replies

I rarely indulge in massages, but lately feeling a bit achy and so thinking to try oil massage.

Is there any places that do excellent oil massage and that are just 100% straight..if you get me...

Looking for places prefereably in the nimmen area or within city center.
Knowing the price would be a big plus too! (Not looking for fancy spa places, just decent priced places)

But normal legit places with good massueses..dont fancy lying next to some bloke where just a curtain is seperating me from his extra indulgence.. bah.gif

Siam Spa at Hillside 4, have a new massage called lanna exotic massage, which is an oil massage.

Depends what you call expensive... I don't call a 1000 baht 'fancy spa' expensive and I'm far less likely to encounter a lady whose skills don't extend beyond banana buffing...

Asia Herb Association is great and not that expensive. Orchid Hotel.

I use a few places that are reasonable and very clean ; I only do Thai massages as I hate the oil ones .,

Lets Relax@ McDonald when I want a food foot massage in the night market area ; very clean and very good Thai massage ; prices start about 450 baht for the foot & 600 for the Thai

When I just want a quick and cheap one , I head to these places depending on the areas

- next to Rimping Iron Bridge Parking Lot... The ladies here are great and its cheap 200 baht an hour ; they enjoy the occasional chat

- in Nimman I use the small spa behind the Sahara restaurant area in the ..this is clean and starts at 250 baht an hour ; car parking available

Pranom Health Massage, 71 Ratchamandoen rd, (Behind Wawee Coffee) in the old city

The best one stop shop for Thai, oil and foot massage

And it's only 150 baht for 1 hour Thai or foot massage and 250 baht for 1 hour oil massage

Enjoy!

I second LawrenceChee's recommendation for the Old Iron Bridge Rimping spot. One of my favorites. I'm also a fan of DD massage in Anusarn. The place next door to DragonFly bar on Loi Kroh is also pretty good.

On a related side note, I tend to get a massage at least once or twice a week. In the almost 6 years that I've been here, I've tried a bunch of various places all over town. Not one single time have I ever been offered anything but a legit massage. Nor have I ever observed/ heard "some bloke where just a curtain is separating me from his extra indulgence".....

I almost feel like I am missing out on something. What am I doing wrong? Where are people going that they are being offered these sorts of things?? ..... Please note, I just want to compile a mental list of non-legit places to avoid!! whistling.gif

Thanks,

Haha... I guess its more a case of asking, rather than just being offered. laugh.png

Appreciate so many recommendations.

Thanks all!

"Banana buffing." Now, that's clever! clap2.gif

The White Lotus on Loh Kroh just about opposite Cherry Bar (up near the moat end of the road). Don't be put off by the location - good and clean massage.

If required than I believe that there are plenty of "extras" available from staff in other near by establishments.

Not in a long time, you haven't... That is the Nimman spa, and they now charge Bt. 450 an hour for an oil massage. 1zgarz5.gif

Ahh, but I see you might not be referring to the price of an oil massage at Nimman... Eek was specifically interested in oil massage.

Directly opposite the entrance to Floral Condo's in Watkate, one of the best Thai massage places around (according to Mrs CM and she knows about these things) - definitley straight and 200THB an hour, ask for Sumalee. Afterwards you can go to Hinlay (fifty feet) and have a great curry.

sorry to say you are talking about The White Orchid. Been going there for 7 years, very clean with well trained girls who will look after you very well foot massage 150 baht per hour, oil mass 250 baht per hour and Traditional Thai 200 per hour. I take all my friends when they visit there, there is no hanky panky just an honest good massage, cant recommend highly enough!!!
