AnotherOneAmerican
I must add that I am lucky that my mrs passes on ladies talk. Seems ladies cannot keep their doings to them selves and must brag. For me it is a nightmare to listen too and so l have little contact with folk cos l know whats going on in their life. Sad but true. It's way worse than that when you can hear them boasting for yourself.

simple1
@benalibina Beat who, join who? I do not indulge in repeated critique of Thais on this forum. I was agreeing with Transam as his post is truthful from my personal experience. You're telling me it's not so? I do realise deceit is carried out in all societies. However, I am shocked at the relatively common behaviour of some Thais, as related by my wife, regards the calculated depth of deception by them of their foreign husbands/BFs, I am not referring to sex Edited June 18, 2013 by simple1

Popular Post jackr
I spend 4 months a year in nth thai and love it. Where did you all go wrong? As you're basically just a tourist, you do not have the experience to be making the second statement. Thailand is about as good as it gets as a holiday destination, where you will always be in honeymoon mode. Give it 10 years in said place and see how you get on. One other thing, be careful of intentionally making 'inspector bib' lose face; paradise can turn to hell very quickly. All the best.

Most of the stories she relates are from her family members who are motorbike taxi drivers and their Thai female customers love to boast of their deceptions and sexual exploits with Thai men behind the back of foreign husband/BF with their Thai BF/husband. I know some foreigners do the same, with sexual activity as they boast to me, but this is with paid sexual services, so do not know why foreigners boast about this. SinglePot
I must be living in the wrong part of Thailand. The only time you see the police in this village is when there is a festival and it needs a bit of traffic control. And anybody heard boasting about their deceptions would get very little airtime because the whole village would know they are trash. My wife is a part time Community Support officer. She reports to the village elders. Simple, uncomplicated village life. A community. No crime.
boosta
Some communities are made of up mostly scamming criminal "trash", and the elders and authorities most of all, such activities literally built the place. You're living in the right part of Thailand believe me.

I would rather talk here anonymously and plant a few seeds for thought. SinglePot
Rose tinted are fine until you get shards of glass in your eye. For what it's worth: I fell in love with SEAsia before I even came here. I could write a book about it.

Stay out of it for sure, let them continue on their self-imposed roller coaster of doom.
