Yep, I am Thai.

I do not think I am funny or clever, but I am most certainly inane, probably the result of being of below average IQ as many Thais apparently are (according to government research).

For all the cringe worthy moments we shared watching the PM stumble through basic speeches and butchering the English language (including the truly classic thank you three times & overcoming guests), humour is the best medicine, just as many others have often laughed at me with some of the idiotic things I've said in the past (both in English and also in Thai). However, no one would be dumb enough to choose me to run a country. Nor did I have the good fortune to study a masters degree in USA. It's, in the words of my boss (also Thai and a closet redshirt supporter), sometimes listening is almost as embarrassing as when Banharn was Prime Minister.

Feeding the rice to Mothra to save us from the Godzilla, given the recent close ties to Japan, would indeed seem to be one of the few slightly sane ways to eliminate the massive rice mountain that we taxpayers have had the joy of purchasing, for the pleasure to watch it all rot when there are people starving in other parts of the world. And if that is not comedy, I don't know what is. Well, black comedy anyhow.

i disagree on the food comment. lamb was undercooked and fatty and was also cold as we waited 20 minutes for the ladies fish to arrive before eating. Expected better for the hefty price tag and given the venue.
