The patriarchal traditions which sanction such atrocities pre date Islam and Christianity.

Some religious leaders in some countries base their statements and support of these killings on those traditions, either ignoring the teachings of the particular religion or finding and then distorting some obscure text to justify it.

As has been repeatedly pointed out in this topic these killings are not based upon the teachings of Islam and most Muslim leaders and scholars condemn them.

As has also been pointed out, this is not just a Muslim on Muslim crime. Followers of other religions also carry them out and use their religion to justify them.

But the haters on this forum don't care about that; all they care about is finding another reason to justify their irrational hatred.

It wont be long before one of them posts a news report about a Muslim driver killing some children through dangerous driving so they can shout that all Muslims are a dangerous menace on the roads intent on killing non Muslim children at any opportunity!

You just do not get the point. Jehovah Witness folk twist or read the words of the Bible to suit themselves, we all know that and most of us to it. The same with the killers of the innocent, reading their book their way, BUT, nobody in that religion is doing anything about it, are they. Thankfully JW are not killing folk except their own. (Blood). Now get a grip man.

This topic is not about Jehovah's Witnesses refusing blood transfusions; it's about honour killings; specifically honour killings in Jordan.

In your irrational hatred of Islam and Muslims you blame this on the teachings of Islam.

I have provided numerous links to pronouncements by Muslim leaders and scholars to show that this is not so.

But your hatred of all things Muslim wont allow you to read those links.

I also provided links to show that honour killings are not confined to Muslims; but unfortunately further discussion of that point was ruled off topic and the relevant posts removed.

But Muslim leaders and scholars do condemn these crimes worldwide, and in Jordan the moderates, led by the King and Queen, are trying to make the penalties for this crime as strict as those for any other murder.

Isn't it strange that you keep telling me here that I hate Muslims when in fact I hate no one except the folk who plan to kill the innocent. I have stated here I have Muslim friends so why do you tell lies about my stance on things here.
