I'm gobsmacked by the low "sex worker" rate I thought it was that high for the overall population?

With the adult prevalence rate @ 1.3%, and for female sexworkers 1.8%, there are 2 options:

1) They are lying (all to keep the tourist $ coming)

2) All Thai women are sexworkers (all to keep the tourist $ coming)

Take your pick!

Actually more likely that hookers are better educated and more careful about protection than regular girls, who probably trust their men a bit too much.

But condoms, esp thai condoms break a lot so even if they are educated, then it does not help
