still clutching at straws on how we can stay together. We are currently in England on a visit visa, we fly back to Thailand on the 15th july to apply for a settlement visa, you,ve all give good advise that its not good for me to stay whilst the settlement visa is being processed and to come back to the uk alone and continue working. Well my husbands visit visa dosent run out till 11th September, so could he come back with me to the uk until his visit visa runs out whilst I work hard. then we could both return to Thailand and hopefully the settlement visa will have been issued. thanks karen

He could ask for it back if he had an urgent, compassionate reason to travel, possibly if he had to travel for work reasons, too. But the scenario you propose doesn't fit either of those.

I know it's difficult to be separated, been there myself; but you will just have to be patient.
