Daily home-delivered baguettes is commonplace in Laos (Vientiane, Savannakhet, etc.), and has been for decades. Customers include Farang's, Vietnamese's, and Lao's (!)

We went to Na Na's yesterday [thanks for the lead] and picked up fresh baked cereal bread and some pastries - all excellent so we will be back for sure despite the distance. Now if only someone would open up in the San Sai area, with the amount of new housing developments it would be good business.
