Astonishingly, there is no coverage if this event on Nation or Bangkok Post websites or here on Thai Forum. I would have thought this would be of great significance to people in Thailand.

It's being widely reported in the international press today. From another report:

Police in New Delhi say they earlier warned state officials that Islamic militants from the Indian Mujahideen group could target the site.

"We told state police that the Indian Mujahideen planned to carry out an attack as retaliation for Buddhist violence against Muslims in Myanmar," the police official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
