How often do Garbage men (US) Bin Men (UK) come around.

Featured Replies

When we first moved into our Moobahn they came around 3 times a week,

this was a private company and they charged 80 bht p.m. they packed in

and another private company took over, they collect 2 times per week and

charged the same.

After a few years, the local council took over collecting twice a week on Monday

and Thursday, with their own truck, cost very cheap at Bht30 p.m., then in last

few months they are only collecting on Mondays, price the same.

We have to keep the garbage at the side of the house now,as if you put it outside

waiting for collection on Monday, the dogs get into it and spread it all over the road.

I would rather pay more ,Bht200 pm would not be unreasonable,if they collected

twice a week, just wondering what the situation is for other people around Chiang Mai.

Our moo bahn is about 80 Baht/month if paying one year in advance. Twice a week but even though the moo bahn office said Wednesday and Saturday, seems sometimes random. There are containers in front of each house, those round heavy rubber type, that seems to prevent the dogs from having a go at it.

Every day.

Included in monthly estate fees, security etc.

I pay 20 bht per mnth for once a week pick-up

Bins like this can be purchased at any hyper market. Dogs cannot usually get in there.

Plus food scrapes should go in an odour-free worm bin, which reduces the likelihood of any animals being attracted in the first place

Almost every morning in Nimmanhaemin area

I suppose you could talk to them and work it out? I'm sure they don't mind extra income
