Irishman dies four weeks after fall in Thailand


DUBLIN: -- An Irishman who had been in a coma since an accident in Thailand last month has died in Beaumont hospital in Dublin.

Robbie Robinson (32) suffered critical injuries after falling four stories from a building in Bangkok while visiting friends. He was flown back to Ireland last week.

A message posted yesterday on the Robbie Robinson Fund Facebook page said: “It is with a broken heart our dear friend and fighter Robbie passed away today. Robbie put up a magnificent fight but he was needed elsewhere.
“Robbie has gone on to save lives, by donating his organs, so even in his passing he was amazing and touched even more hearts.

what's wrong with people falling from balconies nowadays ... when its not in pattaya its in phuket then bangkok .... are there often similar falls like this in other countries ? I dont reckon in my country it happens frequently.

Add 10 liters of beer to a balcony and anything can happen.

The accident happened four weeks ago but he only passed away a few days ago. What is your point? Did you not read the article?

Maybe it is my imagination, but it does seem that certain nationalities are often associated with specific types of stories.

British "suicides" off balconies.

It hardly matters now, but he was a Leinster man, not British. Rest in peace young man.
