seaside
Will be visiting in November and want to play some golf. Marriott quoted $100 us for transportation, caddie and green fees. I don't remember the name of course. Is that a fair price and are there better deals to find when I arrive? In Pattaya most of the bars sponsored sports clubs that you could sign up to play with. Very reasonable rates, good folks to play with and generally had a meal after with to socialize. Anything like that in Phuket? Also it seems the Marriott is 46 km from Patong / Phuket area. Is there regular transport to town. If so do you have a recommendation? Lastly can you recommend night life spots in the Marriott area? Thanks all for your thoughts. Puyai
You should read some previous threads about golf in Phuket. $100, which is 3100 Baht seems cheap compared to what I've heard. Phuket is the most expensive place to play golf in Thailand and you'd normally be looking around the 4000 to 5000 Baht range for 18 holes of golf. If you haven't already booked I'd be looking at Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi or Chiang Mai areas.
