Best place to buy big shoes/trainers

Featured Replies

Looking for aplace that has big shoes by thai standards like US 11 in Pattaya, like to buy some deck shoes.

Thanks in advance

Outlet Mall beside Tesco on Sukhumvit.

BATA shops- Tukom, Big C-Pattaya Klang, etc.

There is a shop right opposite the entrance of Big C extra on Pattaya Klang. The name slips me, but you can't miss it, it has a green sign and it's an open double shophouse.

Shoes and trainers are Chinese made and range between 500 and 800 Baht. Have bought a few pair already and they are comfortable and last for years,Soles don't come off or whatever,

I have used Nike from the outlet mall, which is since the russification rediculous expensive, and they last for 1 year before the sole comes off.

I've had a pair from Bata and they lasted exactly 1 day before they started deteriorating and 6 days before they fell apart completely. Got my money back without issue, but now I only buy from the shop opposite Big C extra

Good luck. Even in BKK the only shoes size 11-12 are ugly like hell. And BATA? No way. I order off the Internet.

i have x4 pairs of genuine size 11/12 Timberlands, including a pair of brown deck shoes

x1 pair unworn

the other x3 hardly worn

bargain prices

PM me if interested

Central Mall on Beach Rd. has quality shoes in that size.

I used to only buy my shoes from places like the central department store, and recently I've been less than impressed with their customer service with staff standing around and not helping, on the way out in the mall, I tried the Bata shop, the shop assistant was eager, and they have plenty of big sizes (European 45+, US/UK 10-11+) for me which is a surprise, since the shop looks to cater to the average Thai, I didn't think they'd have anything my size, it's the first time I've ever set foot in the store and I'll be returning for more for sure.

normally dress shoes I buy in Central starts from around 3-4000 Baht for Thai-made shoes, in Bata they are rarely over 1000 baht, obviously of poorer quality, reeks of rubber and glue smell but they are just as comfortable, and even if they last half as long as the ones from Central, it's still money well spent.

So, don't discount Bata

If you are looking for " croc " copies and "flip-flops" in larger sizes the shoe stall behind Mikes has big sizes but be warned , style is not a strong selling point there. They will also try it on for exorbitant prices so be prepared to walk away if they won't come down to a reasonable price.

It seems to be generally easier to find large sizes in footwear in Pattaya than what it is in Bangkok .

Thanks for all the input guys, does look like its going to be easier to get bigger shoes here as appear to Bangkok which is a big hassle.

I think Bata is fairly hit or miss, I normally buy my work shoes from there, and normally 3-4 pairs at a time, to save having to go shopping in the near future, which is something i despise. However, I have had cases where one pair of shoes starts to have its sole fall off within about a month, and the other pair keeps going for 12 months- very strange considering they are the same shoe, bought at the same time, from the same shop, so presumably part of the same production batch. However even accounting for the one that fell apart quickly, i did buy some work shoes at Emporium for about 5K, and they fell apart even quicker- so will continue to go with Bata even allowing for the occasional quality issue.

Shoes bought from market stalls are usually a lot cheaper than the shop version, but it's usually impossible to find big sizes. However, my wife gets around this by asking the shoe stall guys to get some bigger shoes of the kind I want. They can usually do this within a few days.
