In the US, a B&W can really capture the bleek, desolate, industrial feeling of a switching yard but its so inadequate for capturing the atmosphere of a similar Thai yard.

For instance, the intentional landscaping of colorful blooms are equally celebrated on the color schemes of the Thai Railway passenger cars.

The B&W scenes that include people are an obvious exception.

One of my grand father was one of the ingeneer who did the plans for electrification of the west lines in France;

This is my first shot from the largest train graveyard I've ever seen. It's located somewhere between Phitsanulok and Uttaradit far away from civilisation.

It feels quasi melancholic to realise these trains are dead already and will probably never leave their tracks. Hence the darkness.
