There are plenty of activities, it may help if you provide some examples of activities you are interested in.

Wow, this thread got a really pathetic response! I don't get out much, but I have looked up things and heard about things going on here!

There is a Bridge club (the card game) which if you play that, could suck up a lot of time ...I think it meets every day. (They have web site, just google "bridge in Chiang Mai". There is a bowling club? meeting thing once a week, not sure what location ...you can probably just google that as well. (This is how I have learned of these things.)

There are a bunch of groups that meet for various things, I think you can find some links on the CM expat website ...dinner group, travel group, computer group, photo group?, games group ...I haven't actually done any of these things, but have read about them.

You can always contact "NancyL" by PM, I know she knows about these things and is very helpful, and she also organizes a ladies lunch once a week, you can get on a mailing list with her. (Please someone correct me if I have Nancy's TV name wrong.)

There are a few yoga studios in town. There is a hiking club that looked really good ...(I just have a young child and no babysitters so can't join most of these things) they also have a website and you can get on a mailing list (I used to be on it, but now that I am thinking about it, haven't been getting any news lately ...so don't know what is going on with that.) Again, sorry to say, just google, I don't have any website specific info to give you at the moment.

There are a few dance schools in CM, they have classes for kids, but might have classes for adults, I just never checked. There are a few pools I have read about that have some exercise classes.

Anyway, there are things out there, I am the worst person to ask, because I do none of them, but I read a lot and THINK about doing them!!

You are welcome to PM me if you have some specific interest and I will try to help you find the info, I have collected a lot over the years here!

I hope this post will bump this up, and some of our fellows in CM will try a little harder to help you ...really pathetic response guys!! I am a hermit and can suggest things, so I know some of you, can answer better than me!

Sometimes I see posts about various group sports such as volleyball, or people looking for tennis partners. Doing a search on TV with those words could give you leads about where, when or some idea of people to contact and ask.

Oh, I forgot, a good way to meet women here, (I mean as a women, looking for friends) could be some of the animal rescue groups.

There is "Care for Dogs", and "The Ark" in CM, again google those, I know the "Ark" is in great need these days and is in Sansai? I think I read you live around there? There are some others too.

Also, I am a woman, your age, living in Sansai, so we could meet up for a coffee or something if you like. Just PM me.

Okay, good luck on getting some better responses and finding some things to do!
