U.S. Medicare is not acceptable for the LTR health insurance requirement. There are several Thai companies that will provide coverage even at age 70 plus, or you could use the $100k in bank method. The $100k would need to be seasoned for 12 months prior to application, and then maintained for the duration of the visa. I started off using AXA Thailand at 22,600 baht per year, but I switched to the $100k in bank method this year.
