AyG
Never even heard of Lamb Short Ribs, what kind of cut is that? In the UK they're known as "fore ribs" - they are the ribs attached to the sternum (breast bone) and the free-floating ribs in front of them (towards the head end). RabC
Are these drawings of any help? lamb cuts 01.gif lamb cuts 02.jpeg lamb cuts 03.jpeg Thanks for trying but still don't recognise it. We weren't that well off when I was a youngster and I believe we ate every part of just about every animal so I must have had it but called it something different. When I was young in the 1950s we could only afford lamb, beef or pork as chicken was expensive. The first time I ever ate turkey was in the RAF for Xmas dinner when I was 16. Now you can buy big turkeys for the price of a small piece of pork or beef. The only lamb I see over here is in Makro unless I trek down to Bangkok and take out a bank loan to shop at Villa.
