Hello,my current non imm 'o' visa which i got in the uk,is due to expire soon,where is the easiest place (bar uk) to get another non imm o,i have been told penang,but also KL.

KL is probably the best. It is harder to get at Penang at the moment.

Dashed good point Lop. A non-O based on anything other than marriage (for which you should really be going for the in-country extension) is probably going to be a non-starter at any of the local consulates.

...............until you tell us what is the basis of your application , marriage/work/retierment etc.?

If you have no legal basis then its back to the UK for you.

..............i have a bar in phuket,but no work permit,as i don't work.

I suspect the odds are very long that you will obtain a non immigrant O visa anywhere in the area.

Paperwork would require you to become legal so you should consult Sunbelt or other company set up advisors if that interests you.

No non-O's are given locally without valid reason (wife, workpermit,...)

Best you can get will probably a single, double or triple entry tourist visa at Penang (depending on the mood of the day, and the persuaviness of the agent you use)

Actually not to bad if you live in Phuket, distance is not to big...
