Hi all

I have a Canadian passport with 3 pages remaining. Will I have a problem going to Laos to get a Thai tourist visa? This would mean that 1 page would be used on the Laos visa, 1 page used for the Thai Visa and the last page would have entry and exit stamps from both countries. Am I going to have any problems with the folks at the border questioning my lack of additional pages for further travel?

My only other option is to make a rushed trip to BKK to get a new passport but I would be cutting it very close to get the new passport before my current 90 day allowance is used up. Takes about 3 weeks to get the new passport so getting the tourist visa would give me the time required to process the new passport in less of a hurry.

Cheers!

Pretty sure they are visa pages, they have the word "Visas" stamped at the top of them. Endorsements/Limitations page is blank as well but it would make the 4th blank page.

Its odd how I have never had a passport or visa problem yet I am always nervous crossing borders or dealing with officials. Paranoid I guess.

No problem as stated as long as they pages remaining are for visas and stamps. Fellow Canadian with the same situation April past.

I called the Canadian Embassy here and they said no problem, apply for the new passport when you return, and I did with enough room for a Thai entry stamp.

If you have a US passport you can get additional pages added for $80, same day. You must make an appointment online.

Correct. But I think the US is the only country that does it.

Bleach out any Visas that are not Thai.,and make room thumbsup.gif

Nonsense !

Passport tampering is NOT funny/clever and could land a perpetrator in a world of trouble.

Exactly correct. Same for removing visa stickers.

Find it a little odd, have been over a couple of borders and been to Immigration at least 3 times, every time a Cambodia Visa sticker falls out, the immigration Officers just pick it up off the floor/desk and place it in my Passport..I have even been over the same Cambodia border and they just picked it up,....

often wonder why they do not re glue it back in. ??

Maybe they didn't have a glue stick handy.

Cambodia must use some cheap glue on stickers. The Lao and Thai visa stickers that have been in my old passport for 5 years or more are still firmly in place.

Just for the stamps any blank space on your visa pages will do. I have had entry and exit stamps jammed in on top of one another with no comments. Full page stickers is another thing.
