Tony Blair confirms visit to Bangkok

A kickstarter project has been started The Killing of Tony Blair

It's a film about how Tony Blair killed the Labour party, caused the deaths of hundred of thousands of people and made a "killing" from it all. (UK slang for lots of money)

Some estimates still have him earning in the range of 25 million per year from his "policies" in office.

Please help to expose this failed property developer/ex Prime minister by donating a little money to this project.

I never agreed with Galloway on many issues. But after watching this video, I realise he's not so bad after all.

Blair who is more Tory than any of the current Tories.

I thought socialists believed in everyone being equal and sharing the wealth. So when are we going to get a share of your ill gotten gains then Bony?

Blair - one of the biggest liars in the history of English politices, who is ne worth a fortune. There's no way he would accept to come to Thailand with being paid a huge sum of money, which he won't be taxed on. Don't let it happen.

I bet Blair doesn't even know the truth about what really happened here, if he does come then the PT clowns will probably present their skewed view of what happened and he won't even bother to check into the facts. Hey Blair, if you see this, why not talk to us here and ask us if what the PT tell you is the truth or not ?

His Tonyness, doesn't really deal in truth; lies, decit, making cash and self promotion are the trademarks of this war criminal, so he will fit in very well with the PTP mob. I wonder if he will give Yingluck a bit of personal time?

Tony Blair confirms visit to Bangkok

Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, who is also a deputy prime minister, said yesterday that former British leader Tony Blair would definitely deliver a speech in Bangkok next Monday

Actually, we don't have Tony Blair (or his office) confirming his visit to Bangkok.

All we have is the word of Foreign Minister Surapong, who has a long penchant for telling falsehoods.

Strange thing is no mention on his Tonyness official website either....for someone who is into self-promotion, one would expect an announcement

Why not deliver this so-called message virtually by means of "TEAMVIEWER" or some other program, thus savings $thousands$, transport, fuel consumption, carbon footprint etc.

I understand that the government use SKYPE quite frequently

Yes with a multitude of giant screen displays. So one meeting room shouldn't be a problem.

Blair should be in prison for crimes against the British people and the British nation. He forced millions of immigrants onto the British people and spoilt their way of life. As David Cameron admits....Its a disaster.

I agree with the first bit, the second part has not changed with the smug Cameron in power, another first class idiot.

While Tony Blair is in Bangkok, Yingluck will be in China. Soo disrespectful. But Yngluck has no choice. She has to leave Bangkok after she told the rubber farmers to go f... themselves and accept market prices for their rubber.

This will be a first....I am defending YK....not disrespectful at all...He is a former PM, she is a current...PM, dipolmatically no problem...

I do have 1 request....could the BiB be so kind as to release their collegues who they arrested for the Italian job, and tell them there is a British Gentleman with lots of money coming to Thailand who they could hold hostage for ransom and preferably not release him....tongue.png

Get your point on diplomacy but is this forum not her idea? She told the press that she had initiated it. Therefor I still believe she should be present.

Have to correct myself. Just read that Yingluck IS joining in the morning and will leave for China in the afternoon. She will be there when Blair is going to do his thing.

Plastic smiles all round then.

Why has Emma Thompson the British actress been invited to this forum. What does she know about Thailand? What does she know about politics? In fact, what does she know about anything?

She has acted in a couple of movies and some comedy sketches. I just dont understand why an actress should be on a political forum. Thailand should decide itself what their future is going to be.

I know Shakespeare said,"The world is a stage and we are all actors" but this is taking it too far.

Once again the Foreign Minister has defended the invitation to Blair and denied he is being paid only flights, accommodation etc.

He said he would not condemn those who demonstrated outside the British Embassy but could not understand why people were so against Tony. A little research would be in order and he might get it.

Which is actually quite expensive when you consider his entourage, personal aids, personal protection officers from the UK police, private jet etc etc etc etc.

Blair does nothing for free.

Just the private jet must cost a pretty penny. I expect the Thai government was also encouraged to make a generous contribution to his foundation in lieu of speaker's fees.

The Dyson sales man......when I hear the name.... I was in Crawley U.K. at the end of 2002. Sitting in bar having dinner. The TV did not have the volume on. You only saw a guy talking, talking, moving his arms to underline what he was 'selling'. Mr. Tony Blair. The typical guy knocking (unasked) on your door trying to try sell you a vacuum cleaner. The old style 'foot-between-the-door' pusher.

Next day I read what the statement on TV was for; he was selling the start of that historic mistake war in Irak. Because weapons of mass destruction were found. George Michael made a song which was banned? The poodle dog of Bush? Okay, but now that chap comes to Thailand. To sell Dyson's?

UNBELIEVABLE such a type is still being wanted for speeches and still on free feet.

Well it's a dirty job (being Thaksin's pawn) but someone gotta do it...

Yep. Poodle of Mr. Dubai.

I have to disagree with your term, first class idiot.

Third or fourth class idiot is more likely.

I do agree with the sentiment though.

This is embarrassing, as I recently have felt prompted to apologise to farangs from other nations, for the visit/actions of our slightly-disgraced former-PM, joining-in this circus. wai2.gif

I never voted for him, but even so, we must accept some collective responsibility for him, as we did re-elect him a couple of times.

Just goes to show how spin and flim-flam can fool the voters, for a while. wacko.png.pagespeed.ce.jGW10VtQsI.png

There's a lesson for Thailand in there, somewhere. sad.png
