Contract bridge in Ubon

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

Does anyone know if there is a contract bridge club or of any organised bridge playing in the Ubon city area?

Alternatively, would anyone be interested in playing bridge on a regular basis, preferably with spouses? Skill level immaterial.

We could, for instance play every Wednesday afternoon at each others houses. If numbers in the future were sufficient, we could organise a more permanent venue, say at a hotel.

Any information or ideas welcome.

They're not illegal, just expensive. Same tax stamp as alcohol or cigarettes!

You are correct.

But you can find them about anywhere cheaper without tax sticker on the package.

Gambling with them is whats illegal.

But playing with cards is regarded as gambling no? smile.png

Not unless there is money on the table (or more apply the floor here).

Everyone assumes gambling is involved as soon as cards are pulled out. A visiting foreign friend of mine was kicked out of McDonald's for playing solitaire while he ate. Not kidding.
