thinking about buying a March for my lady

Nissan March CVT gearbox any good?

better then a regular auto gearbox?

how about fuel economy?

how is the quality of the car itself?

The Jatco CVT used in the March (and also the Suzuki Swift) has no major issues, and is not bad as far as CVT's go.

Fuel ecomony is rated at 20KM/L, but high teens is a more real world expectation.

The car is screwed togther well enough, but don't expect champagne on a water budget :)
