cars in Walking St

Featured Replies

given that terrorists have planned or at least considered car bombing Walking St several times in the last decade is there some logical reason Im missing as to why private vehicles are freely allowed entry in the early hours of the morning when the street is packed with tourists leaving discos etc?

You mean apart from legal hours to drive in or out that street ?

They have? when? I have never heard of a plot specifically aimed at Walking Street

OP you posted exactly the same topic a few weeks back - why repeat?

thanks for pointing it out, I thought it was deleted as I couldnt find it anywhere the next day. doesnt look like it went down too well. anyway I clearly remember after the Bali bomb investigations that they found evidence that Pattaya had been considered a target, along with several other locations around the world, and it would be a natural target as its so easy to get cars in there and full of western tourists. in answer to Peter I have no problem with cars there in the day, I just dont see why private vehicles should be driving through when its crowded, its dangerous even without the car bomb potential. moderators can delete this thread if they wish
