tommytouch
Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but... Does anyone know whether it's possible to find dehydrated vegetables in Thailand, the kind that can be reconstituted / rehydrated using hot water? Also, has anyone come across tomato powder? Thanks for any help
tingtong
you can always have a look in better supermarkets, like tops or foodland... though there is just plenty of fresh veggies when you need, and they dont even have to be reconstituted. i've never seen tomato powder. didnt even know it exist. jaideeguy
Or, you could get a food dehydrator and DIY like I just did and have been experimenting with drying tomatoes, mangos, bananas, garlic, onions, manao lime zest You name the vegetable and it can be dried. Or, do like Rice555 says and check out all the options on amazon.com. I have on order some of the tomato powder, used to add flavor to soups sauces etc.........concentrated tomato flavor. Issangeorge
Jaideeguy, where did you get your dehydrater? Sent from my i-mobile IQ X using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
GinBoy2
What do you want to use these for? One of the replies talks about Dried Tomatoes, they have a distinct use in various dishes. But you use the phrase 'rehydrate/reconstitute' which makes me think you just want them for storage purposes.
