Looking for a good Optician in Pattaya ! Any ?

Featured Replies

I have Cataracts which I will be getting fixed in next few months, in the meantime my current glasses need upgrading. I know that ultimately surgery is my only option, but need to find somebody who knows what he is doing.

Go into most Eye Shops, Top Chareon etc, and when you mention you have Cataracts you get the "Thai Blank Stare" any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Guys.

Let's try this over in the Pattaya forum. With that being said, the best facilities are probably in Bangkok. You might consider this. If so, let me know and I can move this over to our health forum.

Either Euro Optics on 2nd road (directly across from Royal Garden) or Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Vision center.

Euro Optics has a well trained optician from the Philippines who speaks excellent English and who fully understood when I went for new glasses while having a problem with macular degeneration, so I expect she'll understand about cataracts.

I have been going to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya seeing Dr. Attaporn Suwannik for several years now. She's a retinal specialist and has done an excellent job treating my eye problems and she can also prescribe lenses for your eyeglasses. Obviously she'll be completely knowledgeable about cataracts.
