Strange Phuket incident as Nigerian is thumped and robbed

Well, I only know 4. Not many Nigerians in Siem Reap. So, statistically 100% of the Nigerians I know are honest. The biggest scammers here tend to be white foreigners; does that I mean I get to call (insert nationality of your choice here) crooks?

Everyone refers to Australian/Irish as crooks

I have numerous Nigerian friends in the UK, two in their late 30s work with close to six figure salaries in finance, one as an accountant and the other in financial compliance for a City bank. I know a 28 year old web dev on c50k that works for a listed UK co and a 30 year old lady that runs a very successful small business, has won young entrepreneur awards and has been interviewed on National TV due to this a number of times.

I don't know any that deal drugs, perhaps they are lying to me about where they come from. Either that or @newermonkey might be wrong, perhaps.

Comparing the lower Sukhumvit chaps to others based outside of Thailand isn't really comparing apples with apples...

The question my response was addressing was "Do you know any honest Nigerians, please name ONE, bet you can't !"

In terms of your point though, I think it could be argued that most of the characters hanging around Lower Suk cannot be considered as particularly representative of their home nation, it's generally quite a dodgy, vice-ridden area isn't it?

Although, I should point out that there's no evidence the victim of this attack even works in the Lower Suk area - the article says business in Bangkok not 'flogging brick dust on a Nana soi'
