I can't comment for anyone else but I do think we are lucky to have such a helpful resource on hand.

Never, before I moved to Thailand, have I used a forum like this, have to say I enjoy it.

Yes there are some idiots that always try to either hijack a thread or shoot the OP down but generally there is some good advice and debates on here.

It's probably that I have more time on my hands when I'm not working overseas that I use it. It can be entertaining, informative, frustrating, everything that you need really. I have learnt a lot, even about subjects that I would not normally come across.

So I just want to thank the TV crew for providing us with the opportunity to pass on and receive info so many sources. Thanks to all contributors too, even the muppets who make me smile

I have been a member for 10 years and although dont contribute much still find forums to learn a lot.

It would have been very useful when I first came here. However, it maybe was more exciting to learn by myself.

Most of my time spent on here is just to fill up some spare time but on the few occasions I have actually needed some advice or questions answered, someone has come up with the goods pretty quick.

They probably had a bit of spare time to kill too

IMO: without doubt yes.

A resource of useful information from helpful and caring individuals...

An understanding of how others here in Thailand and outside think (Crazy, Cynical, Considerate, happy, and everything beyond and between).

A source of entertainment...

A source of annoyance...

In my limited experience other Countries I've worked and lived in do not have a similar forum covering such a wide demographic...

One caveat: ignore those whose opinions are clearly beyond their exposure, for many; myself included, are unaware of what we don't know.....

well sure the americans run and own it but censorship and the internet goes back long b4 thaivisa and is essential (AOL comes to mind). 90% of the posters and users of thaivisa are lymies or some sort (this includes aussies). they represent the vast majority of the farang population. As for quick answers to queries yes there generally are and normally helpful. My own personal experience with asking questions when i 1st came on here was lousy though. it was 'if you dont qualify for a visa type then go home" type responses. it was very useless in those days 2004 or so. it changed a lot over the years for the better
